É la più recente delle Porte Torritesi: fu aperta nel 1836 quando era Camarlingo della comunità di Torrita il dottor Gaudenzio Batignani. All’interno della Contrada esiste un palazzo di particolare importanza, in quanto pare sia stata una delle abitazioni, agli inizi del XVI secolo, del dittatore della Repubblica Senese, Pandolfo Petrucci. Egli la utilizzò non soltanto come dimora di piacere, ma anche per sfuggire a qualche situazione difficile in cui poteva venirsi a trovare a Siena.
