TThe farmhouse “Casabianca” is situated on the hill-crest which separates Valle di Chiana, sang in such a lively way by Dante, from Crete Senesi, wonderfully represented by Ambrogio Lorenzetti in Palazzo Comunale in Siena. It is situated in the middle of a territory, rich in historical traces and various landscapes. From the residential group of buildings, the sight can range widely on all sides over the hills of Montalcino and Mount Cetona, over the Crete, Mount Amiata and towards Siena. The resort is also reported by Repetti in his dictionary of the beginning of the nineteenth century and it is attested by Pieri in his “ Southern Tuscany’ s Toponymy”. In the past, the inhabitants of this place belonged to the small commune of Montecalvoli, which was part of the Commune of Asciano and then embodied in it. With the passing of time, a large Commune, endowed with a chapel, shops and even an elementary school.
