We recommend starting from the Temple of San Biagio in Montepulciano, Pienza heading towards, along the 146 state. At the intersection you come to after a long series of ups and downs is not very demanding, turn right towards Torrita di Siena. Then you can make some short detours from the path that will lead - turning left at the first intersection you will find - in Montefollonico, or the ancient Abbey of Sicille, where we'll get by diverting at the crossroads after another 5 km.Tornati still on main route, along the road to the right, continue for Trequanda, which certainly recommend a visit, then Montisi, leaving on our right that we will overcome. At the next junction follow the signs to Castelmuzio. Shortly before entering the town we make a short detour to visit the church of Santo Stefano in Cennano. The route continues to Petroio, from which the road goes uphill. At the intersection you come later to continue to Montepulciano.
