Da Castelmuzio a Pienza e ritorno Trequanda

This path, rather short, starts from a place not known, but very interesting is that the landscape plan for some interesting things on the historical and artistic. It starts from a large dirt parking lot located outside the city center and head to Petroio, turn immediately right for Pienza. The road, rather tortuous, scente rapidly at the base of the hill Castelmuzio and then, after rising again, turn right to reach Anna in Camprena. This Olivetano Monastery, now a farmhouse, retains some of the frescoes in the refectory of Sodom still in excellent condition. From there it starts to reach Pienza, after a path characterized by descents and climbs, not very steep. From Pienza, after a dutiful visit to the Renaissance old town, you move into Montepulciano. Halfway between the two locations is a left fork leading to Montefollonico. After a quick up and down to the characteristic medieval village known not only for its monuments, for the production ofa good Tuscan Vin Santo. From here you once again to the junction of Madonnino of the mountains, enjoying very beautiful landscapes on the Val d'Orcia and the Valdichiana. Madonnino to the mountains you'll quickly left to get to quickly Petroio, medieval village with circular structure, and famous for the production of earthenware pottery. After a visit to the village and the museum dedicated to the Tuscan pottery, you can return to Castelmuzio percrrendo a road quite flat and very scenic.
