The Tomb of the Grand Duke is one of the Etruscan tombs known in Chiusi. Its name comes from its position, so close to the country house, owned by the Royal Gran Ducal Crown of Tuscany , in the necropolis in Poggio Renzo. It’s made up of a single sepulchral room, made of travertine blocks, walled up dry (also on the vault), with a bench that runs through the whole perimeter and where are placed seven cinerary urns, with the names of the deceased engraved on the lids, all belonging to the family Pulfna Peris. It’s dated later compared to the other tombs in Chiusi, as a matter of fact, it’s dated IInd century B.C.
